Introduction |

● Compact and User Friendly
● Adjustable Wall Mount Assembly
● Automatic "Start Count" Operation
● 8 Hour Battery Backup, Gas Flow Readouts
● Supports 1 to 4 Detectors
The Bladewerx cHFM
™ is a statistically based electronics package that supports gas flow proportional hand, foot, and frisker radiation detectors. With a small floor space footprint of less than 2.5 ft2, it is versatile, configurable and can be wall mounted or set on a table. The CHFM is compact, easy to configure, and user friendly allowing for high volume worker use. It is designed to perform counting and alarming on either the frisker or the hand and foot detectors. Each detector has its own user settable parameters. Detector readings are clearly noted as either alpha or beta on the display.
Instrument Components
The cHFM is a multi-detector monitor complete with three configurable components. The
electronic assembly includes the user interface and all necessary detector support electronics. The wall mount/hand monitor is designed to be placed at a height that is comfortable for users to view the display while placing their hands on the face of the hand monitor. The Foot Detector Assembly can conveniently be placed on the floor below the wall mount and contains an adjustable housing to allow for comfortable of foot placement for all users. The monitor includes all necessary cables and tubing to connect the upper and lower assemblies. Internal battery allows operation for 8-hours in the event of power failure.
Alarm
Output and Remote Monitoring
Contamination levels and status changes are displayed through the LCD and the status
LEDs. An alarmed channel is indicated by displaying the reading on a color coded background (red = alarmed, yellow = out of service, green = normal). With the 802.3 Ethernet connection the cHFM reports status and readings to a local network running Bladewerx Radnet software or other RadNet compliant client software.
Data Logging
The cHFM creates log files every time a user does a count. The log files are stored as
text files and may be retrieved on a flash drive.
RadNet
The cHFM supports RadNet standard through an Ethernet connection allowing
remote monitoring.
Functional Highlights
When in the background mode, the instrument continually checks for changes in
background by comparing new count to the current background rate using a user selectable sigma factor .The Fixed Count Time is user set. Alpha and beta net count rates are determined
for each channel by subtracting the current background rate from the gross count rate measured during the fixed count time cycle.Individual alpha and beta alarms can be user set for each detector channel.
Efficiency parameters calibration function allows readings to be displayed in dpm or cpm (selectable).
