The Ludlum Model 2401-S is a pocket-sized microR radiation survey meter with an analog display for measuring low-level gamma exposure. The unit utilizes a CsI detector integrated inside the instrument and comes with a built-in audio and visual alarm. The metallic case, convenient size, and low price make this an ideal tool for checking ambient levels in a wide variety of applications. Each time the Model 2401-S is turned on, it measures background radiation levels and automatically determines the alarm setting. If the radiation levels exceed this setting, the alarm audio will beep every 1/8 second and the lamp will flash.
