The Model 909
Radiation Dosimeter Charger is an easy-to-use device that is able to charge (zero out) any
self-reading dosimeter. Its spring-loaded contact and mechanical design protects
dosimeters from damage by excessive charging force. In addition, it
automatically removes residual static charge from the dosimeter’s charging pin
each time a dosimeter is re-zeroed, thus eliminating a significant source of
error-causing fiber movement. The charger is constructed of rugged ABS plastic,
and incorporates a reading light to enable direct reading of a dosimeter without
the need to remove it or disconnect it. User directions are printed on the face
of the instrument. A tethered dust cap for the charging pedestal is included.
