Ludlum Medical Physics Model 3-IS Intrinsically Safe Radiation Ratemeter

This intrinsically safe general purpose radiation ratemeter is patterned after Ludlum's best selling Model 3. This instrument is known for its accuracy and long lasting dependability. It supports both GM and scintillation detectors. The detectors which can be used to sustain the intrinsic safety rating are Ludlum Models 44-9, 44-2, 44-6 and 44-38.  The picture is shown with the Model 44-9 detector.

Ludlum Medical Physics Model 14C/Model 44-9 Radiation Meter & Pancake Probe

This general purpose, handheld analog ratemeter supports operating two separate radiation detectors. A switch on the front panel allows the user to select between the internally mounted GM detector for detecting gamma exposure over a range of 0 - 2000 mR/hr or the external Model 44-9 GM pancake detector.  The pancake detector is sensitive to alpha, beta and gamma and is the industry standard for detecting contamination.
