Introduction

The SD418 is the only simulator of it’s type in the industry. This simulated alarming dosimeter can stand alone or work in concert with the SP418 Probe Pak in a simulated scenario to accumulate dose. The SD418 is designed to resemble a typical dosimeter. Its operating characteristics can be customized to reproduce alarm functions, patterns and tones specific to an original equipment manufacturer model. In stand alone mode, an 8 pushbutton remote controller configured to your preferences is used to direct the dosimeter. Preset functions include:

• Direct the simulator to read a certain dose (up to 4 preset selections)

• Accumulate dose at a certain rate (up to 4 preset selections)

• Alarm after a particular amount of time (up to 2 preset selections)

• Alarm on Dose at the moment a pushbutton is pressed

• Alarm on Rate at the moment a pushbutton is pressed

• Stop integrating dose

With the abundance of alarming dosimeters in the workplace the training scope has expanded to the measurement and acknowledgment of accumulated dose.
